Mariah Carey has beefed up her security team after her fellow American Idol judge Nicki Minaj reportedly threatened to “shoot” her following a furious on set bust-up on Tuesday.

Minaj and Urban will join Mariah Carey and longtime judge Randy Jackson. 

Mariah will reportedly earn $17 million for the season. Minaj has signed for $8 mill, and Urban for $4 mill.

Randy Jackson is said to be leaving the judge’s table and is going to become a mentor on the show.

They say the new season will feature 4 judges.  Mariah Carey is the only judge that is now confirmed for the new season. Nicki Minaj is said to be 99 %.  There are also rumours that Keith Urban is in talks to be a third judge.
